The Power is ALWAYS On
Question 1 - verse 15 says - as a result. As a result of what? Here’s the question - how did they know there was power in Peter’s shadow? The word “know” causes a lot of stagnation and struggle for disciples because we want to know before we try. Many of us are stuck in “do it again” mode. We only anticipate what has happened before. Our Father is stronger than repeats. He is focused on fresh new things. The miracles of Acts chapters 2-5 had never been done before. So, how did they know to position people in Peter’s shadow? Question 2 - will we believe without knowing? Where did Phillip come from? We are not told if he was in the 120 or any of the crowds that believed and received power. We don’t know how long he was a disciple. We only know he was a committed disciple because he was selected as one of the seven in Acts 6. He further proves the power is always on.
